Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - 2nd Edition "ADOS-2 is a structured play-based assessment that lasts 40-60 minutes performed between the ages of 12 months - adulthood and is divided into four modules based on age and language abilities to measure social communication ad play behavior. As a result, a severity score is given.

Autism Diagnostic Interview- Revised "ADI-R" is a parent interview that lasts between1/1/2-2/1/2 hours performed on children and adults with mental age above 2 years to measure the child's functioning; communication; and restricted, repetitive behaviors. This assessment can be used to diagnose and distinguish ASD from other developmental disorders.

Childhood Autism Rating Scale- 2nd Edition "CARS-2" for ages 2 years and up is a direct observation and parent questionnaire that takes 5-10 minutes to determine symptom severity through quantifiable ratings.

Adaptive Behaviors:

Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales- 3rd Edition "VABS-III" is an interview or parent questionnaire performed from birth - 90 years that lasts 20-90 minutes that asks about the child's current functioning in four domains: communication, daily living, socialization, and motor skills.

Adaptive Behavior Assessment System-2nd Edition "ABAS-II" is a parent, teacher, or caregiver questionnaire performed from birth- 89 years that lasts 10-20 minutes and assesses adaptive functioning in three areas conceptual, social, and practical, and 10 adaptive skills. Two of the five rating forms are appropriate for early assessment: The parent/ primary Caregiver Form (0-5 years) and the Teacher/Daycare provider Form (2-5 years).

Child Behavior Checklist 1.5-5 years "CBCL" is a parent questionnaire that last 10-20 minutes performed between 18 months - 5 years where parents rate 99 questions and describe problems, disabilities, and what concerns them the most. Questions cover the following: emotional reactiveness, withdrawal, anxiety/depression, attention problems, somatic complaints, and aggressive behaviors.

Behavior Assessment System for Children - 3rd Edition "BASC-3" is a parent and teacher questionnaires that lasts 10-30 minutes performed between the ages of 2- 21 years, 11 months to help implement treatment plans by facilitating a differential diagnosis and educational clarification through examining emotional and behavioral difficulties.
