DISCRETE TRIAL TRAINING A
The goal with this discrete trial training (DTT) is to teach the student that the red gummi bear is actually the color blue. In a real-world scenario with a student with ASD this would be used to teach the student the true color of the red gummi bear, which is red. This DTT was done using sign language for "yes" and "no" in order to show how a DTT would be done with a student that was non-verbal and only spoke sign language.
DISCRETE TRIAL TRAINING B
The goal with this discrete trial training (DTT) is to teach the student her name, and work with her to identify her name even when distractors such as shapes or other names or colors are added. As this student already knows her name, this is merely an example, whereas in a real-world scenario with a student with ASD this would be used to teach the student to identify their name regardless of what distractors may be present.
